Welcome to the conference blog for the IFPRI-University of Kiel Research Workshop on decentralization, “Inside the black box: The political economy of local governments and their role in rural development.”

The research workshop will take place on February 3 and 4.  In addition, a policy-focused panel discussion will be held from 12:30 to 2 pm on Thursday, February 4.  You are welcome to join for one or both days of the research workshop, or only for the policy panel discussion.
